♦ TOP CHOICES ♦
Layton Corners Bar
4004 Peet Rd
Chesaning MI 48616
One of the coziest bars in the area, we always enjoy stopping in for some great food and an ice cold beer. You gotta love an honest, down to earth place like this that doesn't take themselves too seriously, where you can relax and enjoy yourself without pretension. This is the go to spot for dinner on Fridays with their tremendous fish frys.

Naples Pizzeria & Restaurant
103 W State St
Montrose MI 48457
Many people say that this is the best pizza you'll find in Michigan, and we really love the ambiance and the great service too. This place is a throwback to a bygone era, it's delightfully vintage with it's small town feel. The kind of place you want to head out to when the fast moving modern world has you down. In addition to their great pizza they have some excellent subs, make sure you try their Naple's sub, so very good.

Roxy's Diner
355 E State St
Montrose MI 48457
This place is a huge hit for their amazing homemade soup, but we love everything on the menu. Excellent spot! The kind of place that welcomes you with a large blackboard of daily specials and a friendly, helpful staff. Not that empty friendliness you get at chain restaurants, but real engagement you only get from a place that takes care of their employees. We are big fans of building a strong community around blueberry pancakes

Gracie's Country Inn
9483 Genesee St
New Lothrop MI 48460
This restaurant is known for its prime rib, and we try to come in as often as possible to enjoy it! You won't have to worry about keeping an eye out for this one, it's easy to spot as it's a big red building, and it's so popular they bought the place next door. The interior is straight out of the disco area with high-back red pleather booths lit with chandeliers.

♦ OTHER GREAT RECOMMENDATIONS ♦

Arthur's Pizzeria
9496 Genesee St
New Lothrop MI 48460
When you're craving a really delicious pizza, you can never go wrong with a visit to this charming pizzeria. Sure, you can find cheaper pizza elsewhere in the area, but that has it's own costs, when you want a pizza that hits the spot this is your go to. They also make what the call "Torpedos" which are baked subs only they replace the standard sub bun with pizza dough, that fresh baked dough makes all the difference.

The Junction Restaurant
4136 Peet Rd
Chesaning MI 48616
Always a wonderful spot to stop with friends or family and enjoy a home cooked meal in a pleasant setting. This is America's first nonprofit 501(c)3 restaurant, dedicated to employing special needs adults in the area. They have a wide ranging menu starting with good old fashioned breakfast items from steak and eggs to Belgian waffles to a dinner menu featuring smothered chicken with sauteed mushrooms and topped with Swiss cheese.

50's Pizza
288 E State St
Montrose MI 48457
Another one of our favorite pizzerias in this area, it's always hot and fresh and tasty! In addition to their quality pizzas at fair prices including their Kitchen Sink pie which is a loaded as the name implies, they have so much more on their menu including stromboli and calzones, nachos, homemade baked lasagna, mostaccioli, oven baked subs, and old school grinders. A must try option is their oven baked wings served up with BBQ, hot,or garlic parmesan, and you have to try the garlic-parm, they are incredible.

Angilean's Pizza
124 W State St
Montrose MI 48457
One more pizzeria for the road, because we can never resist the melty cheese and fresh toppings here! As the name suggests they have modern California influenced speciality pies, like their roasted artichoke and spinach pizza, their class margherita, and their wild mushroom with shaved cremini, shiitake, portobello and more.

White's Streetside Tavern
111 W State St
Montrose MI 48457
A wonderful place to gather with friends to enjoy a cold beer, some hot food, and great conversation too. What we really love about this place is the ambiance, it's just a flat out chill zone, a place to sit back with a nice craft brew and unwind for a while. They have plenty of big screens mounted around the building to catch the game while you enjoy their game specials on wings and more. You will love their selection of daily specials.

McDonald's
249 E State St
Montrose MI 48457
When you're craving a massive Big Mac or a cheesy Quarter Pounder, you will be hard pressed to find a better run franchise than this Mickey D's location. We know we aren't telling you anything you don't know, it's McDonald's but sometimes you just want filet o' fish, fries and that special blend of coke they have. Go ahead order some nugget's as well, even if they don't have the Mulan szechuan sauce, the sweet and sour sauce will have to do.
