♦ Louis' Chop House ♦
For those who enjoy a fine steak, you can't do much better than Louis' Chop House in Chesterfield! The steaks and hamburgers are just out of this world. Our favorite thing to order here is the Woodward Prime Rib, and we prefer it medium. It's so juicy and moist, and when you pair that with those flawless potatoes au gratin, you have a match made in heaven. The grilled salmon is also an excellent choice here. They've got plenty of delicious pastas too, and even saganaki for those who like a little extra fire in their evening! Breakfasts are amazing here too. We really adore the service and we're such big fans of the ambiance and classic atmosphere. Huge portions too! Highly recommended. Louis' Chop House can be found at 50355 Gratiot Ave.
♦ Chicken Shack ♦
Chicken Shack is just unbelievable when it comes to delicious barbecue food! The fried chicken here beats out all those other fried chicken restaurants, hands down, as far as we are concerned! The real star of the show here though, is the broasted potatoes. They are swimming in oil, which sounds like it wouldn't be a good thing, but believe us when we say that when you taste this these rich creamy-on-the-inside crispy-on-the-outside potatoes, you will understand the magic that we speak of! You may want to skip the chicken altogether and just order a party tray of potatoes! The fish is excellent too. Definitely not the healthiest place in town to eat, but it's sure good for the soul. You can find the legendary Chicken Shack at 31880 23 Mile Rd.
♦ Sugarbush Tavern ♦
Sugarbush Tavern is a wonderful place to go for all your classic favorite meals, like ribs, steaks, chicken, etc. They have delicious salads too. In terms of the seafood we'd most highly recommend the walleye and the perch, and we recommend that you get them sauteed. This is a great place to catch the game, and even to enjoy some live music, often on the very same night. The drink specials are noteworthy here, so give them a call to see what the specials will be tonight if you're planning on heading out there. Sometimes the crowds here are older, sometimes younger, just depending on the time and day. Always a great place to dine no matter when you come in! Check out Sugarbush Tavern at 27900 21 Mile Rd.
♦ Rosie O'Grady's ♦
Rosie O'Grady's is one of our favorite pubs to visit, because of the lively atmosphere, the great happy hour specials, and of course the fantastic service that everyone's always raving about. We love the fact that there are so many televisions around the bar so you'll never miss a moment of the important game, and they've even got a television at every single booth too! Now that's what we're talking about. You'll love the sandwiches and ribs, and the onion rings go perfectly with anything. On the nights when they have a DJ you'll really enjoy yourself here too. What else can we say about this gem of a bar? Everybody loves it and it shows. Always packed with happy customers! You'll be able to find Rosie O'Grady's at 30400 23 Mile Rd.
♦ The Firehouse ♦
The Firehouse is all about delicious barbecue and sandwiches, and we have found ourselves here many times over the years to enjoy that wonderful cooking! The smells and sights that you will encounter here will really get your mouth watering, and then some! The famous firehouse barbecue ribs are out favorite thing on the menu, and we love that you get a half slab for less than eleven dollars (at least at the time of this writing) and that they come with such delicious sauce. The hot spicy buffalo wings really tantalize our tastebuds too and satisfy that craving for something with major kick. Favorite burger has got to be the jaws of life. We could go on and on about this one, but we'll leave it up to you to visit and find out what you have been missing all this time. The Firehouse is conveniently located at 48925 Gratiot Ave.
♦ Bob Evans ♦
Though not every Bob Evans restaurant that we visit is up to speed with the best of them, we think that the Chesterfield location really stands out and outshines the rest. We love the pancakes and bacon here, and it's so nice to sit and chat with our friends or loved ones after breakfast and linger over a few delicious cups of their coffee. The employees are so kind here, and they really get to know you if you're a regular, along with what your "usual" is and how you like everything cooked. For dessert you can indulge in some of their world famous pies, and you can never go wrong with one of those! Strawberry, apple, and french silk would be our top picks. You can get some of Bob Evans' classic breakfasts at 45140 Corners Ct.
♦ Pita Peddler ♦
Pita Peddler is a great place to go for Mediterranean fare that won't break the bank and that isn't uber-fancy, so if you're just heading in wearing your casual clothes, you'll feel comfortable and right at home. They have a really delicious Italian pita, and we love the kafta and garlic dip here. Anything with garlic at this restaurant is sensational. The shane melt is another one of our favorites here, something that we get at least every few visits! They have very delicious rice here too, nice and moist and fluffy. The service is always fast and friendly, and the atmosphere is always clean and tidy. Very highly recommended to anyone who can appreciate casual Mediterranean food at its best! Pita Peddler is located at 46610 Gratiot Ave.
♦ Jet's Pizza ♦
This is another Jet's Pizza location that we can't resist. We love their sweet yet not sweet-like-candy sauce, because it really brings out the tomato flavor while also accenting the wonderful flavor of the crust and cheese. They put on just the perfect amount of toppings here too. Their square Sicilian deep dish is our top pick, but you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Enjoy the choice between eight different crusts and all those delicious toppings, and also do yourself a favor and grab an order of their wings while you're there. Plenty of different sauce options to please everybody. This Jet's Pizza location is found at 51100 D W Seaton Dr.
♦ O'Charley's ♦
O'Charley's is a comfortable family restaurant that has been here seemingly forever, and though the service has been a bit slow on a couple of occasions, we have never had a bad meal here. They've got tantalizing philly cheese steak burgers here that combine two of our favorite things in the world and probably yours too, and they have a really great loaded baked potato soup that pairs well with that or with any other item on the menu. The salads and desserts are very nice here too. Even better than that is the price! You can eat here on the cheap, and yet walk away totally satisfied and pleased with your meal. Not too many places can claim that nowadays, so we appreciate it when we find it. You can find the classic O'Charley's at 45225 Marketplace Blvd.
♦ Achatz Handmade Pie Co. ♦
Okay bakery lovers, listen up! Achatz Handmade Pie Co. is the place for you to check out when you are in Chesterfield. They have such an amazing array of pies, and yes they are expensive, but they are very much worth every single penny. The banana cream pies are just heavenly, and we also enjoy the banana split pie! They've got a truly tantalizing pumpkin pie that will warm up your autumn with its incredible spice, and a Michigan four berries pie that will take care of that sweet tooth for you. Don't miss the coconut cream pie... that is one of our absolute favorites! We could go on and list them all, but you are really better off just heading over there right now to grab yourself an amazing pie! Truly award-winning quality here. Achatz Homemade Pie Co. can be located at 30301 Commerce Blvd.
