Wrought Iron Grill held as one of the most popular spots in all of Owosso, and if you are in the mood for a truly memorable and delicious meal, then you really can't do better than this! We've made it a priority to come here for the last couple of New Years Eve celebrations, and the prime rib that they serve for that occasion is truly amongst the top we've tasted. They serve it with a delicious cranberry salad, which is the perfect sendoff to the winter holidays as far as we are concerned. On a normal day you can come in for the best sandwiches in town, and even their fries are just so good. The prices can be a little bit on the high side here, especially around dinnertime if you like to get appetizers and drinks with your meal, but it is definitely well worth your hard earned money. ♦ El Portrero ♦
Good Mexican food is not hard to find in Owosso! It's easily accessible at El Portrero! There really aren't any other options for Mexican food in this area except the fast food restaurants, but this one could hold its own even if there were other choices to be found. It's not the most authentic Mexican food in the world, more of an American Tex-Mex kind of thing, but it is so good! The rice and beans are wonderful, and we love the chips and salsa. The burritos and enchiladas are two top tier offerings, and the quesadillas are always a very nice choice too, either as an appetizer or as an entree. The tamales are really good too! The friendly service is great and they have an ambiance that is very cozy and comfortable. El Portrero is located at 1706 W M-21 in Owosso. Definitely worth a quick stop when you're in Bennington!
