AUBURN HILLS,
MICHIGAN is
known for its entertainment and shopping, namely The Palace of Auburn
Hills and Great Lakes Crossing! Whatever brings you into the area,
these are your best picks for food and drink in the 48321 and 48326
zips!
♦ Rangoli Indian Cuisine ♦
Rangoli Indian Cuisine is a fabulous Indian and Pakistani restaurant
where you can get all your favorites such as sambar, chicken tikka
masala, and naan. They have an awesome lunch buffet here that will be a
great introduction to Indian food if you're new to it, and it's also
one of the least expensive ways to get a great lunch in Auburn Hills.
They have a room in the back that's available to rent for private
parties, and we'd recommend that very highly for your upcoming events.
This is definitely the best Indian food you will find in the area, and
we recommend it very highly for dine-in buffet and carryout. You'll be
able to find this gem at 3055 E Walton Boulevard.
♦ Rainforest Cafe ♦ Rainforest
Cafe is one of our favorite restaurants located in Great Lakes Crossing
mall. It's always a joy to come in and enjoy that wonderful food in
that amazing atmosphere. If you haven't been here, you will be shocked
to see the lifelike animatronic jungle animals, the gorgeous aquariums,
and the beautiful star-lit sky above you while you dine. Beautiful
fountains too. Many times with a restaurant like this, it's all about
the ambiance and the food comes second. Here, we believe the food is
just as good as the ambiance! Their menu changes quite often so we
won't bother to mention favorites here. Everything we've had here is
great, so freel free to order anything off that menu and know that what
you're getting will be fantastic. You can find Rainforest Cafe at Great
Lakes Crossing, at 4000 Baldwin Rd.
♦ Toby Keith's I Love This Bar & Grill ♦ Toby
Keith's I Love This Bar & Grill is a great American style bar
located at Great Lakes Crossing. We love the sheer size of this bar,
and the options on the menu are really plentiful. Somehow we always opt
for a burger and a beer, and that's always great. Burger cooked
perfectly to order, beer served ice cold as it should be. The service
is very friendly and fast here, and you never feel rushed at all.
According to our friends the fried macaroni and cheese is really
excellent and they loved their tortilla soup too. If you're a club
sandwich fan, we've heard that they are really fantastic too! You'll be
able to find Toby Keith's I Love This Bar at Great Lakes Crossing, at
4000 Baldwin.
♦ Buddy's Pizza ♦
Buddy's Pizza is a real Detroit tradition, represented perfectly right
here in Auburn Hills. Their Detroit square pizza is the best ever, and
we so just so hooked on their cheddar bacon ranch fries! This is one of
those restaurants where you may want to dig into the pizza with a knife
and fork, because it's good and greasy! However we don't mind getting a
little messy and it's tough to resist the temptation to dive right into
that hot delicious pizza pie! Wonderful salads here too, including a
Greek salad that goes well with any pizza on the menu. Enjoy this
Detroit favorite right here at 2612 N Squirrel Road in Auburn Hills!
♦ Lelli's Inn ♦
Lelli's Inn is a fabulous Italian steakhouse, really one of the most
highly recommended upscale restaurants out there. For truly special
occasions, there is no better choice than this. The filet mignon is
definitely our favorite thing to order here. Whatever meat you choose
to order, it will come with a crisp salad, hot soup, delicious bread,
antipasto, pasta, and spumoni. You'll certainly be satisfied here. If
you were used to the Detroit location, you'll find that this one is
just as good if not better. Great service, wonderful old fashioned
ambiance, and just the best food you'll find anywhere in Michigan. You
can find Lelli's Inn at 885 N Opdyke Rd.

♦ Miyako Japanese Steakhouse ♦ Miyako
Japanese Steakhouse has some of the best Japanese delicacies as well as
wonderful sushi! Believe it or not you'll find this wonderful
restaurant at Great Lakes Crossing. They have some of the best eel that
we have ever tasted, and it's featured in quite a few of their
specialty rolls. We especially love the jazz roll and the spicy tuna
roll, and most especially that California cream roll! And they have a
lot of really great hibachi meals that will satisfy the meat lover in
you. As far as the drinks go, we'd recommend the plum wine above
anything else. If you are shopping at Great Lakes Crossing and want a
dining experience that's a cut above the rest, you cannot go wrong with
Miyako. You can find it at 4000 Baldwin Rd.
♦ Palm Palace Restaurant ♦ Palm
Palace Restaurant is a Middle Eastern restaurant that we have dined at
many times, and we can never seem to get enough of this place! Their
falafel sandwiches are really to die for, and how about their shish
kabobs? They are out of this world. If you want a truly delicious
entree, you can't go wrong opting for the sauteed salmon or the
vegetable ghallaba (really any of the ghallabas will do!). Everything
is just fantastic here. The prices are a bit higher than most of the
other restaurants in the area, but you do get quality and excellent
service in return for that. The fresh pitas are fantastic, and we love
all their grilled vegetables. Find this one at 2065 N Squirrel Rd.
♦ Red Ox Tavern ♦ Red Ox Tavern is
a great American bar, and one of our favorite places to go for chicken
wings as well as our favorite beers, wines, and spirits. It's nice to
come in and hang out here after work, kicking back with your buddies
and just enjoying the ambiance. They have surprisingly great burritos
here, and we have really fallen in love with their chicken pot pie. You
can't go wrong with their burgers here either, they're always perfectly
cooked to order and just so tasty. Try the Italian Panini too! You can
choose to sit on the bar side or the restaurant side, and both are
exceptionally clean and warmly decorated. Great service here too!
You'll be able to locate Red Ox Tavern at 3773 E Walton Blvd. Very
highly recommended!
♦ Bar Louie ♦ Bar Louie is another
one of our favorite American style bars, this one also located inside
of Great Lakes Crossing. Though this is a chain, and we are not big on
chain restaurants usually, we just love it. They've got more than three
dozen beers on draft, and a great selection of bar fare for you to nosh
on. Their happy hour specials are definitely worth taking a look at,
and they even have one dollar burger night here! That's unusual at a
place like Great Lakes Crossing. Nice place to go to fill up on good
food and tasty drinks! You'll be able to find this one at 4390 Baldwin
Rd. Don't miss this one when you're shopping maybe before or after a
concert or game at The Palace!
♦ Joe's Crab Shack ♦
Joe's Crab Shack gets major props from us for their delicious seafood
and fun atmosphere! Kitschy and cheesy are the words that come to mind
when you think of this place, but it's not in a bad way. It's cute. And
the seafood is top of the line good stuff! They've got great dungeness
crab here, wonderful king crab, delicious andouille sausage, cajun
spices, and even our favorite... lobster bisque! The servers really
know their stuff when it comes to all the fish on the menu too, so ask
away and they'll be able to handle all your questions. Delish crayfish
here too, which is hard to find in this area! You'll be able to fine
Joe's Crab Shack at 4975 S Baldwin.
